HOW TO KNOW A GOOD HYDROGEN PEROXIDE FOR YOUR PALM OIL BLEACHING*

When it comes to bleaching palm oil__ especially during your soap production, choosing the right hydrogen peroxide makes all the difference. Not all hydrogen peroxide are created equal, using the wrong one can lead to pour colour reduction, oil degradation or even health and safety hazard. A low quality peroxide may fail to bleach effectively, leave residues or even ruin the oil. So how can you tell if your hydrogen peroxide is genuine and powerful enough for this job.

My name is Johnson Job, the Co-founder of Edumers laundrix production where I produce laundry bar soaps and detergents for all kinds of commercial purposes. So I’ll be teaching you how to test your hydrogen peroxide right at home or in your workshop and all you’ll need here is a *raw potato*.

I’ll be using potato because it contains natural enzymes and starches that react quickly and visible with the true hydrogen peroxide. It’s the fastest and reliable way to manually test for a good hydrogen peroxide.

*Now let’s see how to perform the potato test*

What you need is:
– A clean potato (pealed or unpeeled).
– Small sample of hydrogen peroxide you intend to use, &
– A clean cup or glass.

*Steps involves are;
1) Cut the potato into small slices or cubes.

2) pour a small amount of hydrogen peroxide into the glass

3) Drop one piece of potato into the peroxide

4) Observe the reaction over 1 to 3 minutes.

A good hydrogen peroxide will show: Bubbling and fizzing reaction, this is a sign of active oxygen being released. A constant stream of bubbles indicates good strength and purity, and the solution should remain colourless and smell clean ( no chemical or metabolic odours).

This test matters because if your hydrogen peroxide can’t react with raw potato, it likely won’t bleach your palm oil effectively either.

Don’t rely on labels alone, see the Power for yourself. The potato test gives you instant confidence that your hydrogen peroxide is real, reliable and ready to deliver top quality bleaching purpose for you soap business.

As a caring tutor, I’m showing you this guide as a form of bonus lesson to help you improve even more when picking up the right chemicals or ingredients for your productions. And I’m hoping you won’t forget me in your business!
