As a soap maker, you’re always looking for ways to increase your profits and stay competitive in the market. One way to do this is by creating commercial brown soap with a unique formula that uses more water and less oil. In this article, I’ll be showing you how to to make brown soap with this formula and reap the benefits. This is actually the part two of our last lesson which was a 50/50 water to oil recipe. But In this part 2, the water is going to be more than the oil. So, let’s get started!
*The Ingredients needed will include;
– 2000 mil of oil (2 litters)
– 360 grams of caustic soda
– 300 grams of calcium
– 300 grams of sodium sulfate
– 80 grams of silicate
– 2,600 mil of water
– perfume (to your taste)
– Suger solution (to your taste)
*Now let’s know the Process*
– I’ll divide my water into 2, use half to dissolve my caustic then keep half for the remaining ingredients.
– I’ll then pour my caustic solution into my oil and stir very well to mix then cover it and set aside. But I’ll advice you to use a mixer if available.

Alright let’s continue!
– In another bowl, I’ll dissolve my other ingredients which are: soda ash, silicate calcium, and sodium sulfate with the remaining half of my measured water which I’ll bring us to warm before using, I’ll then set it aside for proper dissolving.
– I’ll bring back my soap mixture and give it another thorough mixing again, then I’ll pour in the mixture of my other ingredients gradually into the soap and mix.
– Add perfume and sugar solution to my taste and mix it again but not too much to avoid fumes.
– Lastly transfer it to my already prepared molds then leave it overnight to hardened up and then proceed to cutting with a soap cutter
